The Layton Family can trace its roots to some of the first settlers of Maryland and the Delmarva Peninsula. Fast forward to present day, now long-time residents of the DMV, the Laytons decided they could improve on the traditional self-storage concept.

Jim, Tim, Jena, and Luke try to incorporate the latest in technology and innovation to bring their customers the best and most convenient storage experience possible.
When not thinking about how to improve the self-storage experience, Jim works in commercial real estate and dabbles in cannabis investing. Previously, he spent more than a decade as an attorney focused on anti-trust, white-collar crime, criminal law, and corporate litigation.
He began his career as an assistant attorney general for the state of Washington followed by a stint as a criminal defense attorney. One of the highlights of his legal career was cracking unsolved cases at America's Most Wanted.
Jim earned his MBA from the University of Maryland, his JD from the University of Arizona, and his BA from the University of Washington.
